November - THE MONTH OF THE HOLY SOULS
REMINDER: With Basketball Season beginning, please make note of the following school policy: Any student participating in a practice session beginning at 3:30 pm or after will only be able to remain in the school until that practice begins if they are enrolled in our After Care Program for that day. If you need information on After Care, please call the school office. Due to our insurance regulations, I cannot allow anyone in the building after school dismissal who is not engaged in a supervised, organized activity. I thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Note from Mrs. Matosky: Everyone with Clearances & VIRTUS training on file in the school office is invited to volunteer for the Thanksgiving Dinner in the Cafeteria on Monday, November 24th. Anyone who can make time in their schedule to help would be appreciated.
November 1 – ALL SAINTS DAY
November 2 – Daylight Savings Time ends.
November 3 – Parent Conference forms must be in on this day. Don’t forget to check Edline for your child’s progress.
November 3 – Today the 2nd Quarter begins. There will be a PTG Meeting at 7:00 pm. There will be a short presentation by some of our System’s students. On the agenda will be Santa’s Workshop.
November 3 – Little Sisters of the Poor collection begins. Details to follow.
November 3 – We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Mark Evans as the Holy Redeemer System
Development Director. His duties begin today.
November 4 – Booster Club Turkey Raffle drawing will be held today.
November 5 – Confessions are set for 9:00 am.
November 7 – MASS at 1:00 pm. (Mass Uniforms are required.) Father Kirwin will be our Celebrant and our 6th Grade students will be presenting at Mass. This Mass is dedicated to the members of our families, friends & loved ones who have entered eternal life.
November 7 – REPORT CARDS will be distributed at the end of the day. Please keep the Report Card and sign & return your child’s envelope.
November 10 – Early Dismissal beginning at 11:00 am.
November 10 – Parent Conferences will be from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Please refer to your conference slips for your appointed times. This will be the only scheduled Parent Conference this year. Any other conferences may be called by the parent or teacher. We will make every effort to accommodate you.
November 11 – NO SCHOOL – Veterans’ Day.
November 12 – Grades 5 through 8 will attend the fall play presented at Holy Redeemer High School.
November 12 – Estimated delivery date of Gertrude Hawk Christmas Candy.
November 13 – Marketing, Financial & Facilities Committee (formerly the Advisory Council) meeting at 6:30 pm.
November 17 – Last Cougar Cash order before Thanksgiving Holiday. All orders must be in the office by 9:00 am today to be processed.
November 18 – HOLY HOUR at 1:00 pm today. Deacon Bob Roman will be our celebrant and our 6th Grade will lead us in prayer.
November 18 – 6th Grade BAKE SALE during lunch periods.
November 20 – Grades 3, 4, & 5 will travel to see “Babes in Toyland” at the Mellow Theatre. Information & permission slips to follow.
November 22 – FORENSICS FINALS will be held today at St. Clare/St. Paul school at 11:00 am. Come out and support
our school’s finalists: Julia Aldrich (Varsity Division), Cecelia Chisdock & Nicole Kolessar (Junior Varsity Division).
November 24 – Our school’s annual Thanksgiving Lunch.
November 26 – MASS at 9:00 am today. Msgr.Bendik will be our Celebrant and our 6th Grade students will lead. Mass Uniforms are required.
